There are five great beaches in Smerwick Harbour near Ballyferriter Village on the western end of the Dingle Peninsula, County Kerry, Ireland. Each beach has its own great features and all are great for walking, family days out, swimming and other watersports due to the shelter the harbour provides. The beaches include Wine Strand (Tra Fhiona), Beal Bán and Smerwick Beach. From here you also have great views of the Three Sisters, hills to the north of Smerwirk Harbour and back along the Dingle Peninsula the east.

Use our Map of Ireland and Sat Nav tool to get directions and our detailed route map and GPS on our ActiveME App to find the beach live on screen and keep on track.  At all times, our maps and App should be used in conjunction with proper map and compass navigation techniques.
