The Seven Heads Peninsula takes in the area south of the villages of Timoleague and Courtmacsherry and near the picturesque town of Clonakilty. A visitor can either drive, walk or cycle this beautiful peninsula. There are many walking routes both long and short to suit a walkers fitness and walking guides are available in local shops. it is also a bird watchers paradise and the area is dotted with beautiful beaches.

Timoleague is a picturesque village named after the 7th century Franciscan Abbey, built by St. Molaga. It is renowned for Trout fishing and bird watching on the muddy banks.

Courtmacsherry village is a place to visit for bird watching and fishing in the bay.
