A spectacular cycle around the world famous Ring of Kerry which can be done in one long day best best done in about 8 stages to enjoy the scenery and experience the various towns, villages, attractions and stunning scenery along the way. Starting from Killarney and travelling anti-clockwise you first pass the fair town of Killorglin, then onto Glenbeigh with its Blue Flag Beach Rossbeigh, continuing to the largesdt town in south Kerry, Cahirsiveen with the only church in ireland named after a lay person. This is the traditional ring of Kerry route by car.

However it is advised to skip the boring road between Cahirsiveen and Waterville and take the highly recommended diversion to Valentia Island and the Skellig Ring via the passenger Ferry at Renard, just outside Cahersiveen. This route is the most scenic, has least traffic and more attrractions per km than on the entire ring.

On Valentia Island don't forget to visit the 350 million year old Tetrapod trackway fossils, the world famous Slate Quarry, Geokaun Mountain viewing spot, Culoo Cliffs, the site of the transatlantic cable landing and Bray head. Spend the night and enjoy the craic, the wonderful watersports for all the family and maybe a trip to the World Heritage stie of the Skellig Islands. Continue from Valentia into the lovely colourful fishing village of Portmagee where you can also catch a boat to the Skelligs and a great food.

From here you go over the hill behind Portmagee to the Glen and Ballingskelligs with great views at every turn and great beaches to stop and enjoy. Next you arrive into Waterville with some great food and accomodation and Golf! Next mission is to take on the hill known as Coomakista, before decending into the scenic roads passing Derrynane, Caherdaniel and Castlecove before you reach the picturesque village of Sneem. From here its a long ride to Kenmare which is world famous for its beauty, craic and hospitality.

From here you must travel up to the scenic Molls Gap where its relatively downhill from there! to Killarney, passing the famous Ladies View of the Killarney Lakes and finishing via Torc Waterfall and Killarney National Park.

Unmissable!!!!
