Murvagh Blue Flag Beach is a long sandy beach in west Donegal, Ireland. It is very popular for swimming due to the calm waters in this sheltered location. The shallow waters allow the sea temp to be pleasant forswimming and great for children.  During the bathing season, which runs from June until the end of August, the beach is lifeguard patrolled and these times are posted on the information notice boards at the beach. The beach is flanked sourrounded by sand dunes, a designated Special Area of Conservation and great clearings suitable for ball games. Parking facilities are excellent with one very large car park and many smaller areas along the beach front.

Murvagh beach is situated on the south coast of Donegal and is located off the N15 south of Donegal town. Take a right turn for Murvagh village and the road takes you down to a forest, drive through a small wooded area and Murvagh car park is at the end of this road. Our map of Ireland shows the location of this beach and our Sat Nav tool below provides directions.
