The Coorycommane Loop Walk in West Cork is a moderate to strenuous 4.8km (1.5 hour) walk as the trail is quiet steep in sections, but the views are worth it. The trail starts at the very pretty Coomhoola Bridge north of Bantrytown and the walk climbs firstly through thick forestry, and then onto Coorycommane hill, which enjoys 360 degree views over the Coomhoola Borlin Valley, all the way over to the Pass of Kamanea near Gougane Barra, over Bantry Bay and Whiddy Island, and all the way down to Beara Peninsula. The trail Returns to the Coomhoola Bridge downhill through forestry, and then a quiet country road called the bog road. This loop walk is part of the Beara Way Way-Marked Way between Kealkil and Glengarriff.
