The south Beach in Ballybunion is a stunning stretch of golden sands in north County Kerry, Ireland.  The north and south beaches are both Blue Flag beaches and are perfect for walking, swimming, surfing and other watersports. They are sourrounded by rocky headlands, high cliffs, caves you can explore at low tide, a picture perfect castle and sand dunes and all close to the famous town of Ballybunion. There is also the famous Ballybunion Golf Course, great pub and restaurants to enjoy. The area is within a designated natural heritage with an extensive dune system. The beach is lifeguarded during the bathing season (lifeguard times are displayed on the  information noticeboard at the beach).
