The Pollock Holes are one of the most amazing places to visit on the west coast. A well known local swimming area but a hidden gem for visitors, it has some of the best snorkeling in Ireland. Its also great for swimming and is only a short walk from the main Kilkee beach. You should only go here at or within 2 hours of low tide when only the water remains in the holes on the rocky coast. The fish and other animals are ‘trapped’ when the tide drops and are there to view in crystal clear waters. The water can reach 20 degrees C in summer. Download our Free App for directions.

Please plan your day by checking the Tide times and weather on our website https://www.activeme.ie/useful-info/planning-a-trip/.
