The Tralee Bay beach walk at 37km (23 miles) is by far the longest stretch of sandy beach in Ireland. From Derrymore strand near Tralee, to the stunning Maherees and onto Fermoyle Beach at the foothills of Brandon Mountain this is a spectacular 1 to 2 day walk. Although Ordnance Survey Map number 83 doesn't show all of it as sandy beach, its fairly obvious once you are there that this is a big big beach.
