Tragumna Beach is a small scenic sandy Blue Flag beach located in a rural area 6km from Skibbereen. Tragumna (Tráig na Móna in Irish, meaning Strand or Beach of the Turf) itself is a tiny village in County Cork, Ireland. The beach is backed by a marsh and small lake called Lough Abisdeally which is popular for bird watching. It can be reached by turning off the R596 at Abisdealy Bridge and follow sign for Tragumna as shown in our map below. This beach is not lifeguarded but life buoys are provided at the beach.
