The Old Green Road walk from Kilmore Cross over Conor Pass to Dingle is a moderate 4 hour walking route in county kerry, in the south west of Ireland. The walking route is one of the best rural and remote trails in Kerry and only joins the Dingle Way waymarked trail in the last few km's near Dingle Town.

The Conor Pass is the highest open mountain pass in Ireland and provides the most dramatic scenery over Brandon and Tralee Bays to the north and Dingle to the south. It is a narrow twisting road between Dingle and Kilmore Cross and therefore there are length and weight restrictions, and vehicles such as caravans, camper vans and trucks cannot use the pass.

The views from the road are breathtaking, as the glaciated landscape of mountains and corrie lakes comes into view. From the scenic carpark at the summit there are views as far as the Aran Islands off County Galway.

This walk is only a short drive from Dingle and there are also many other walks in the area. Use our Map of Ireland and Sat Nav tool to get directions to the start point of this walk and use our detailed map and GPS on our App to find and follow the walking route and keep on track.
