Strandhill Beach is located 8km to the west of Sligo in the north west of Ireland.  It is a world renowned surf location and is a surfers paradise.  Strandhill has a number of surf schools catering for the both the novice and experienced surfer.

This stunning beach is not suitable for swimming. No Swimming Permitted - Due to Dangerous Current and Tides.

If your're not into surfing there are many great walks in the area, including a great coastal walk to other beaches, and walks on the nearby mountains of Knocknarea and Benbulben.  You can also enjoy a round of Golf in Strandhill links, seaweed baths, live music and festivals, and in August The Warriors Run Festival, Irelands largest triathlon.
