This beach is known by a number of names but once you get here it obvious you have reached the right beach !!! It is commonly know as O'Carrolls Cove, Glanbeg Strand, Rath Strand, White Strand and even Derrynane but there is no obvious official name for the beach to my knowledge. O'Carroll's own the Cove Beach Bar & Restaurant and children's play area which is right on the beach, I mean right on the beach and is a great spot to spend the entire day and even stay the night!!!! They also own the Caravan and Campsite which overlooks the beach. The sheltered bay with blue waters and white sands is great for swimming and waterpsorts and the views accoss the bay to the Beara Peninsula in Cork are great too. I can't stress enough how great this beach is.
