To the west of the famous MacGillycuddy Reeks is the peaceful, remote and lonely Coomasaharn Horseshoe walking route along the mountain ridge that sourrounds the beautiful Coomasaharn Lake and valley below. The Coomasaharn Horseshoe walk near Glenbeigh, County Kerry is a strenuous day long (24 km) walking route visiting all peaks on the horseshoe including Been Hill (651m), Mullaghnarakill (665m), Teermoyle Mountain (760m), Coomacarrea (An Tráigh) Mountain (772m), Meenteog (715m) and Knocknaman (561m) for the shorter loop walk (19km) and via Macklaun Mountain (607m) for this longer loop finishing in Glenbeigh.
