The Blue Loop Walk in Castle Archdale Forest is an easy half hour (2 km) walking route through the forest park passing the deer park enclosure, wildfowl ponds, wildflower meadow and butterfly garden. This park and Lough Erne played an important role during WW2 as the most westerly flying-boat station which protected against the U-Boat threat in the North Atlantic. There are plenty other walks and also a family cycle trail waymarked around the park and are shown at teh bottom of this page

Use our Map of Ireland and Sat Nav tool to get directions to any of the stage start points and our detailed maps and GPS on our ActiveME iPhone and Android App to find and follow the walking route live on screen and keep on track. At all times, our maps and App should be used in conjunction with proper map and compass navigation techniques. Feel free to send us your photos and add you own star rating, comments or suggestions below.
