The 3 peaks of the Brackloon ridge include Brackloon mountain (270m), Knockafeehane (301m) and when walking you will have magnificent views of the Slieve Mish mountains, Dingle Bay and Inch Strand.

Annascaul is a small village on the Dingle peninsula which is steeped in both mythical legends and modern day heroes. It was in these lonely hills that the fabled Celtic warrior CúChulainn fought and killed the mythical warrior Feirdia to win the love of the beautiful Scáil. However, she did not return his love as she remained true to Feirdia and Scáil drowned herself in the river which bears her name, Annascaul. Tom Crean, the Antarctic explorer who accompanied Ernest Shackleton, was born here. Upon his return to Kerry from his travels he settled in the village and opened the ‘South Pole Inn.’
