The Europcar desk at Knock Airport can be found in the Arrivals Hall inside the terminal. Once you’ve gone through your rental details with our staff you will be escorted to our car rental depot which is situated directly opposite the terminal entrance and we’ll have you on the road in no time. The airport is conveniently located adjacent to the N71 road which travels between Galway and Sligo.
Knock Village is a short journey from the airport, about 15 minutes, where you’ll find the main attraction in the area; The Marian Shrine. The shrine found here is dedicated to the apparitions that took place here in the late 19th century. Huge numbers visit the shrine every year and Knock has welcomed both Mother Theresa and Pope John Paul II who bestowed a rare papal token of honour upon the shrine.

The Great Western Greenway is a cycling route that travels alongside the old rail line between Westport and Achill. This is a 42 kilometre route that crosses through farmland, over rivers and generally follows the beautiful coastline of Clew Bay. The ability to cycle on a dedicated route away from traffic and enjoy stunning views are cited by many as the best aspects of the route.
