Europcar Cork City offers a genuine city centre location just off Union Quay on the banks of the River lee that runs through the city centre. Our location is ideally placed for those looking to rent a car while in Cork City as we’re just a 2 to 3 minute walk from Patrick Street in the true heart of the city. The city has plenty to offer as you’ll find narrow cobbled streets and alleys stocked with traditional Irish bars, shops and restaurants to suit any taste.
Once you’re behind the wheel of your hire car the whole of County Cork and beyond is within your reach. There’s so many great things to see and do in County Cork including the beautiful coastal village of Kinsale, known as the Gourmet Capital of Ireland, or alternatively Blarney Castle where you can kiss the famed Blarney Stone which is said to bestow the gift of Irish charm upon all who kiss it. The nearby town of Middleton is home to the Jameson Experience where you can take a guided tour through the Jameson Brewery and uncover the fascinating history and brewing process of Jameson Irish Whiskey.
The Wild Atlantic Way, the longest defined coastal route in the world, starts off in Cork and is well worth your time even if you drive just a small section of this 2,500km coastal journey. The route stretches from Cork to Donegal, travelling along the rugged natural beauty of the west coast. The section from Cork City to Kerry travels along the most beautiful parts of the country with spectacular coastline out one window and majestic mountains out the other. This is a drive not to be missed.
